Not long-ago Vladimir Putin looked upon the United States of America as his sworn enemy. That was during the Cold War. A “bloodless war” which Russia lost to us. Thus, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (U.S.S.R) crumbled right before our eyes. You can bet your last dime that it was a great humiliation for all red-blooded Russians.
Enter Vladimir Putin, former KGB agent and one time head of the FSB (the successor agency to the KGB). With Putin at the helm of the Russian Federation, the U.S. has a savvy and knowledgeable foe. Putin is a man who is familiar with the world of intelligence gathering. He is also cold and calculating and has been implicated in several assassinations of his political adversaries.
Comparing Mr. Putin to Mr. Trump one can only conclude that there is a mismatch. Putin is leagues ahead of Trump in his understanding of the intrigue involved. It was never so simple as a business relationship. Even “IF” President Trump is not found guilty of collusion with Russia, every American must understand that Russia is more than an adversary of the United States.
What Putin dreams of is the day when our country collapses and dissolves the same as his beloved U.S.S.R did on December 31, 1991. Even if President Donald J. Trump is not a willing puppet of Mr. Putin, he is a dream come true for the Russian spy master. The enemy is still the enemy.
